PASTOR CAVELL PHILLIPS

He was educated in the Richmond Public School system. He's a graduate of Huguenot High School in Richmond, Virginia; and he continued his education  at the Columbia School of Broadcasting in Washington, D.C. and his Christian Education at Richmond Christian Center Bible Institute and School of Ministry.

Pastor Cavell has been and is a prominent Gospel Radio and Television Personality with more than thirty five {35} years in the communication industry.  Served as a past co-host of The Gospel Truth on WRIC/ABC TV-8, Focus On Black Religious Life a feature on WTVR/CBS TV-6 and What Works RVA on CW Richmond/TV 65. His radio started while in High School, at WANT/990 AM., WUST in Washington, D.C., WFTH/1590 AM "Faith Radio",  WDYL/92.1 FM,  "Gospel 99" on WPLZ/Magic 99 fm., WSSV/1240 AM.,  WGGM/"Amen 820", WKJS/Kiss 105.7 "Sunday Morning Gospel", Praise 104.7 FM., just to name a few.  Pastor Cavell is now the host of "UpBeat!" Gospel on 106-5 The Beat! Richmond, 92.1 The Beat! in Hampton Roads, and 100.3 The Beat! - St. Louis, MO.  Being in the communication industry isn't a job, but a ministry. 

Pastor Cavell is involved in outreach programs and community affair groups and programs.  Board of Trustee's for The Broadcasters Hall of Fame; Faith Leaders working with the City of Richmond Police and Virginia State Police, and The Shepherd Center Support for Seniors. 

Pastor Cavell received his Doctorate Degree in Christian Counseling and Christian Communication, August 2003 from Richmond School of Ministry and Higher Education.

 He's been an Assistant Pastor of Richmond Christian Center  where Dr. Steve Parson, Sr. is the Pastor. His service in Leadership Ministry of Helps includes the areas of Pre-Marital  and Marriage Counseling,  Deacons Ministry, Bible Study, Special Concerts and Events. 

As a pastor, Dr. Phillips have a deep desire to lead people to God and encourage God's people to pray, study God's word, and trust God for everything with all of their heart, in every area of their lives.
